How do I know which styles suit my body?

We design our pieces to suit every type of body. But we understand that dressing up is a very personal process. To better guide you through your selection, our product detail pages contain information on the type of fabric, fit, and support each piece offers, along with recommendations on what each piece is best suited for.

 

What kind of compression do your bras, crops and leggings offer?

We want everyone to find something they’ll want to Recess in forever. We’ve taken care to make sure that our items provide you with a range of support and compression. Products made in our Do Everything™ fabric offer gentle compression, styles in our Lady Legend fabric give medium compression, while pieces made in our Personal Best fabric give high compression.

 

What kind of fit can I expect from your stuff?

Well, it really depends. Check the Size & Fit section of each product detail page to get the info you need.

 

I don’t think the product I ordered is right for me. Can I return a piece if I don’t love it after trying it on?

Definitely. We wouldn’t want you to do something that doesn’t feel right for you. Email us at customercare@ourrecess.com and we can assist you with this.

 

I'm not familiar with your sizing system. How do I get more clarity on this?

We understand our unique sizing system is one that might need some adjusting to. You can check out our size conversion chart to help you figure things out in more familiar terms. We also have a sizing chart with the standard measurements for each size, in case you prefer the accuracy of numbers.

I’m pregnant but I want to buy non-maternity leggings, can I do that?

By all means, yes. Our Do Everything™ Legging allows you to be comfortable during your first and second trimester.

 

I’m not pregnant anymore but I have your maternity leggings. Can I still wear them?

Definitely. Our Future is Here Legging is meant for use before and after pregnancy, depending on the changes your body has gone through. We recommend keeping them on rotation at least 4 months postpartum. Then you can share with your pregnant friend or save it for your next baby!

 

How do I take care of my Recess apparel? Is your clothing machine washable?

You can hand wash or machine wash your Recess apparel in cold water with similar colors, then hang to dry. We don’t recommend it as the best option, but in a pinch, you can also tumble dry your pieces on a low setting.

If you’re washing your Recess apparel for the first time ever, we suggest washing it on its own. Avoid washing your pieces with light colored items immediately from purchase, as your pieces may contain residue coloring.

 

Where are your products manufactured?

Our goal is to get you the best quality pieces to Recess with. And with that in mind, we manufacture across several regions — for now, this extends to the Philippines, China, and The US. We understand that sustainability touches on many aspects of the manufacturing process and only work with government compliant facilities who pay workers fair wages, and provide humane and decent working conditions.
